Doctor Sherin talks to Mulder regarding his partner and this review. Author: Sondayp2 --------------------------------------------------------------- Division: X-Files Supervisor: A.D. W. Skinner Department Head: Agent F.W. Mulder Presidor: J. Sherin, Dept: Counsel Asst program-FBI psychologist Tape - side a:>Special Agent Fox Mulder Transcribed: J. Sherin ------- M. Tape is on? J. As always. You know I can't take notes and interview at the same time. M. Of course. So. Scully up for review. J. Bother you, Mulder? M. Are you suggesting I get hot and bothered about Agent Scully? (pause on tape) She's a good partner, J.P. J. So I gathered. Her work is not in question. You know that. M. Explain it to me. J. A three year personal review is not above boundaries. ( pause on tape). She came to you green, Mulder. I've done some reviewing. I've read her reports. I've read your reports. I want to hear from you as her department head and partner. Do you trust her? M. Yes. (pause) Yes. J. Ok. Tell me about her. M. Ah, J.P. How quickly you want to speak about someone else when I am right here in the room. I'm wounded. J. Mulde.. M. She's confidant. (pause on tape) She is one of the best field agents I've ever worked with. We may not always agree, but I know...I know she seeks justice with passion even amongst those who would deny her this... as do I. J. The price of justice has been high for you both. I heard about your father, Mulder. I'm sorry. M. So am I. More than you know. (pause on tape) J. I have a notation in my file about Dana's sister. She didn't take time after? M. No. Melissa's death hit her hard. Taking time is not her way. She needed to know she was helping to find the men who took her sister's life. J. Hmmm. What about last year. She was missing for what, um, three months? M. Yes. J. She was hospitalized for two and half weeks and on mandatory medical leave for an additional week. Again, no personal days were requested. M. She felt she had already lost so much time. Give it a rest, J.P. J. Does she talk to you Mulder? M. She's my partner. J. You know what I mean, Mulder. Does she? M. She is not prone to verbalization. She... I know when she's bothered by her tone, by her expression. She doesn't let go easily. She is a doctor, a scientist. Her own chosen profession demands control. It's not easy to let go of that. J. No, it's not. My concern is that she is using that control like a glass sheild.. M. That glass is pretty thick. She's a strong woman.. J. Judging from your case files, I don't doubt it. I still want to get behind that glass shield. She may need for me to. M. I don't see any signs of it, J.P. J. Not yet maybe. But I want to prevent it before it happens. You of all people know should understand. M. What happens next. J. I talk to Dana. Make an evaluation. Send the forms up to Skinner. M. Who ordered the review J.P.? I need to know. J. This isn't about the X-Files, Mulder. M. Isn't it? J. Not this time. Her job is secure. I want to make sure it and she stays that way. M. I need to call in a favor.. J. You want to see the evaluation before I send it up. (pause on tape) I don't see any harm in giving you a copy of the formal evaluation form. That is all I can give you without breaching confidentialty with your partner. I will respect that confidentialty above all cost. Are we clear on this. M. Very. And ....... thank you, J.P. J. Anytime end tape: Author Note: Ok folks. Thanks for reading this far. Up next is tape 2 - continue session (Dana Scully) .
