Forgotten Meeting-By QueeQuag1@aol.com Mulder and Scully and Samantha are not mine. They belong to Chris Carter and Fox. I promise to return them when I am done. Please do not sue! You wouldn't get anything anyways. Dana is 8 in this story so Mulder is 12. This is before Samantha was taken. She would be 8 also. This is just a silly Genre story about a time when they could have met and not even known it. Dana Scully sat squished between her 2 brothers while her sister got the way back seat to herself. They had been driving for 3 hours and Dana could hardly breath. "Bill. Move over." "I can't Dana. Theres no room." "Mom. Are we there yet?" "No sweetie we are still in Massachusetts. We are going to stop for a bite to eat in this town up ahead." Everything was asleep when she got out of the car. She felt tingly all over. She wanted to run. She had been sitting for such a long time. They were in a small town called Chilmark. They 6 of them entered the small diner. They went to the diner every Sunday. Fox didn't want to. He would much rather be doing something other then spending time with his parents and whiny sister. He had no choice however. His father just kept lecturing him about family togetherness and how important it was to stick together when they had each other. "No one is going away Dad." He said. His father would never answer to that. He would just look at him sadly. She scanned the resteraunt for any interesting people. She felt extremely awkward as she usually did with her big family. She saw another family of four people sitting at a booth. She could see the backs of a man and a womans heads. A young girl who looked about her age sat next to an older looking boy. He was maybe Bills age. "Dana? Come one." Her dad said. She stopped staring and sat down with her family at a table choosing a seat where she could watch them. Fox noticed the large family. Anyone would have. There were 6 of them. One girl especially caught his attention. She looked Samantha's age. She had long flamming red hair. Redder then anyone else with her. He wondered if they had just moved, or were just visiting. She couldn't help staring. For some odd reason that entire family, especially that boy, intrigued her. She wanted to know who they were and what there names were. "Dana. Stop staring." Melissa hissed in her ear. Dana blushed and concentrated on the menu. He couldn't stop staring at her. He felt as if he knew her already. He wanted to go and talk to her. She would probably laugh at him though. And he didn't want to embarassher with her whole family. "I have to go to the bathroom" Fox said and got up from the table. The family was on the other side of the room eating. The red head seemed preoccupied with something. She was not joining in the rest of the families conversation. "I have to go to the bathroom" Dana said and got up from the table. She had no idea where it was. She walked towards where she thought it might be and ran right it someone. It was the boy. She blushed again "Sorry." She said shyly. "Um...where is the bathroom?" The boy pointed and smiled. For one fleeting moment their eyes interlocked and something clicked. Neither of them knew why but they could not help staring at each other, wondering. She forced herself out of the stare and walked away. He watched her go wondering who she was. When she exited the bathroom he and his family were gone. 25 years later. (The Present) They stopped in Mulder's hometown for lunch on their way to Rhode Island. "I know a good diner." He said. "We used to go every Sunday. Before....Samantha." "Alright." Scully said. It seemed vaugly familiar to her though she was pretty sure she had never been to Chilmark in her life. They entered the diner and sat down. "I have to go to the bathroom." Scully said. "Where is it?" At that moment something clicked in both of their heads "Couldn't be" They both thought as Scully left the table.
