"Ever" by Jennifer Watson Spirit X24@aol.com Disclaimer: This poem was inspired by the relationship we see weekly on The X-Files. I think. I'm not sure. I was really just going through my stuff and it seemed *very* Mulderscullyian ... I don't know, you tell me. Well, we all know that even if this poem *was* inspired by XF, XF is property of CC. And this poem within itself is copyright 1996 Jennifer Watson. So there. : P And I'd like to take this moment to dedicate this poem to Susan .... it was written before we ever even met, but God knows this applies to her, and all those crises we've helped each other through. (Despite any references to m/f love in here!) ------------------------------ "Ever" If I had to make a list Of everything I ever loved, Of everything I ever believed in, You'd be number one. I never loved much before; I didn't believe in much before. Is it possible a person's mind Could be so closed? And I could deny All I've learned from you, But that would be a lie I've seen so much because of you And if you gave me wings, I'd begin to fly. You've told me everything. I'll love you 'til I die. And if I never love again, If I never believe in anything else, I would always have you To fall back on. But you've tested my faith, And so I'll always believe; I'll always love; I can't forget you. Ever.
